I recently migrated this blog from its prior position in a subdirectory off of digitaltoolfactory.net to it’s own domain name of blog.digitaltoolfactory.net. After a mild amount of sturm and drang I got the main site working, however I was unable to get to the admin. I got an endless array of “Too Many Redirects” errors
After entirely too much pointless tweaking of config files I came across a suggestion to go to the url itself for the admin, and not rely on wordpress to assume that by going to https://domainname.com/wp-admin/ I really meant https://domainname.com/wp-admin/index.php.
I did that, and low and behold it worked – I then reset my permalinks in the usual way (pictured below). I saved nothing, but I hit Save Changes and yay verily it worked. Another lesson learned.
